Jurgen Klopp is still on the verge of deciding to feature Sadio Mane in the Tuesday’s derby against Chelsea.
Liverpool has sent a private jet to get back the Senegal forward back from Gabon after his country was eliminated from the African Nations Cup this weekend.
He missed the last penalty which was critical in the Senegal’s 5-4 shoot-out quarter-final against Cameroon on Saturday.
Mane’s penalty shoot-out miss costed an arm and a leg as Senegal dropped out of the African Nations Cup and while the club has arranged a plane to bring him back, a bunch of bureaucratic issues prevent him from leaving Gabon until Monday.
Klopp about Mane
“I don’t know exactly when he will be available,” Klopp said to the reporters.
“The club did an outstanding job to bring him back as soon as possible and he is now on his way. We thought it would be possible yesterday: we had a plane there but he was not allowed to go in the plane so we had to wait.
“He will be here tonight but I spoke to him and it is all good so far. He will be in tomorrow morning and we have to make a decision. We have to look in his eyes and see whatever is posssible.”
